Margaret Fox/ Dog Sitter

I would love to take Pixel with me everywhere because I consider him part of the family, but sometimes this is not possible. I guess the same thing happens to you.

This is where the search begins for a responsible and professional caregiver who can take care of him so that he does not have to resort to a canine residence. It’s not that I’m against the canine homes or hotels, in fact, the last time I left Pixel in one, but after the experience, I convinced myself that they are not for him.

Most residences usually have the kennels in which the dog is locked. It is true that the kennel is spacious and they give you several daily walks around, but after all, the dog is locked up for most of the day (unless you are sure that it is only in the kennel to sleep).

A big dog or used to being locked up can stay perfect, but Pixel does not because we have never left him locked up more than 10 minutes in a room. He just is not used to it, and he spends the day barking and crying. And I think the same thing happens with small or delicate dogs.

That’s why I decided that residencies were not a good idea, and I started looking for a good caregiver who could have Pixel in his own house and even accompanied by other dogs.
